Production Flutter client for iOS and Android

Nostr, Node.js, and Firebase integration in production

The product

Gathr is a social product for connecting people with causes, communities, and fundraising. The public site distributes the app on the App Store and Google Play.

The engineering problem was not a static feed. Events arrive continuously, state has to stay coherent, and the client has to remain usable when the network or a relay misbehaves.

What I built

I worked on the production Flutter client and the surrounding delivery work. The public product and the role are verifiable; internal architecture and customer data are not published here.

  • Flutter application delivered for iOS and Android
  • Event-driven state for decentralized data
  • Node.js service integration
  • Firebase and Linux infrastructure operation
  • Production release support

Engineering decisions

The client treats remote events as the source of change, not as a one-time fetch. That makes the interface react to new activity without forcing a full refresh, but it also means connection failures and duplicate events have to be handled explicitly.

The work sat across client, services, and infrastructure. Keeping those boundaries clear was more valuable than introducing another abstraction layer.

Scope and confidentiality

Gathr is employer work. This page describes the public product and my stated responsibilities. It does not publish proprietary implementation details, internal metrics, customer information, or code owned by Gathr.
